Tyrant F**ker Fuzz
Drown out Bigotry & hate-speech: a loud, screaming fuzz to silence tyrants across the globe.

This product is the unpopulated PCB only - full assembly, soldering, and fitting in an enclosure will be required.
This rough and tough silicon fuzz uses easy-to-find parts and is super customisable, accepting a range of transistors and clipping diodes. At its heart is the Silicon Fuzz Face, using a standard +9v power supply and controls for volume and fuzz. This one has some extras though:
- On-board bias trimpot - set this to +4.5v when everything's maxed out or find your own sweet spot
- On-board pads for easily testing the bias voltage
- Easy connectors for the LED indicator and onboard pull down resistor
And now the fun bits:
- A separate knob for bias and a switch to engage it - switch between the onboard default and the knob controlled bias to sweep from sweet drive to spitting anger
- Engage extra clipping diodes with another toggle switch to add some custom tone shaping - add more harshness or smooth things out - it's up to you
Designed to fit neatly in a 1590B enclosure and with parts that are easy to pick up.

Wiring up the board
The matching 3PDT footswitch board makes wiring the pedal simple and easy. The four pads at the bottom of the main board line up with four pads on the footswitch board - just connect them in order.

Just make sure you have both boards facing the same way up, as shown in the photo. You can also connect your input and output jacks (including their ground connections) to each side of the board.
The main board includes your pull down resistor (CLR) for your indicator LED - just connect your LED to the two onboard pads.
Biasing your transistors
The handy trimpot lets you bias the transistor to a default level, with the bias switch changing from the preset to the manual knob. The general rule is that when the pedal is powered at 9V, and all controls are maxed out, then the boas should be set to 4.5V. You can use the BIAS- and BIAS+ pads on the board to read this with your multimeter. However, all transistors are different and my advice is to trust your ears and find a default setting that you like the best.
